About
I work with adolescents and adults, including those who have been adopted, as well as with couples and polycules. My practice includes queer and trans individuals, as well as those from racially and ethnically diverse backgrounds, including immigrants.
My practice encompasses developmental and complex trauma, sexual trauma, depression, anxiety, addictions (including to food and productivity), gender and sexuality expectations, self-worth struggles, and familial and relational complexities and inequities. I also work with difficulties in living authentically and finding fulfillment in personal life, relationships, and professional and creative pursuits.
Over the years, I have received training and authorization across multiple modalities, creating an integrated approach that brings depth, breadth, and practical application to my work. My therapeutic and trauma-informed foundation includes certification in Trauma Studies with Bessel van der Kolk, Polyvagal Theory with Stephen Porges, Coherence Therapy with Bruce Ecker, Integrated Attachment Therapy and Ideal Parent Figures with Dr. Daniel Brown, and Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST) with Dr. Janina Fisher, which actively brings together Internal Family Systems and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. My somatic training encompasses Transforming Touch® with Dr. Stephen Terrell, Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner training with Dr. Peter Levine, Integral Somatic Psychology with Dr. Raja Selvam, and Somatic Regulation & Resilience with Kathy Kain, alongside certification in somatic EMDR. I am also a certified somatic Psychedelic Facilitator and Psilocybin Facilitator (Naropa University) and hold a certificate in Sex Therapy (CIIS).
I bring a multi-lineage Buddhist perspective, trained and authorized in Vajrayana meditation, shamatha, mindfulness, and Dzogchen practices. My training in traditional medicine includes certification as an Ayurveda Counselor and as a Tibetan Medicine (Sowa Rigpa) Counselor. Complementing these modalities, my systems-informed and liberatory practice draws on Nonviolent Communication, Political Extimacy© with Dr. Kesha Fikes, Touch Activism with Aaron Johnson, and Somatic Abolitionism with Resmaa Menakem. My work has been supported through grants and fellowships including the Woman Leader in Buddhism (Frederick Lenz Foundation), the Sacred Writes Fellowship (Northeastern University), and the Common Good Fellowship (Western States Center).
